New judgment from the European Court of Justice regarding parody

Th European Court has in a new legal ruling on the 3rd of September 2014 (C-201/13) found that the concept of “parody”, which is an exception to the copyright according to article 5.3 k in Dir 2001/29 (on the harmonization of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society) is an autonomous concept of EU law and must be interpreted uniformly throughout the European Union.
